Heart-Healthy – These meals support a healthy heart and fall on/below the American Heart Association’s recommendations for sodium, salt, fat, saturated fat, and calories. Meals include Merlot Meatballs with Grits and Chicken Pot Pie Crumble.
Diabetic Diet – Controlled carbs at each meal is vital for the maintenance of blood glucose levels and all meals on this diet follow the founding physician’s recommended carb levels of 25g or fewer NET carbs. Some of the meals on offer include Sweet Onion Frittata and Chicken Tortilla Stew.
Low Sodium – Each of these meals contain 600mg or less sodium per meal, which actually falls well below the recommended dietary guidelines of 2,300mg per day. Meals include Eggplant Lasagna Casserole and Hickory Smoked BBQ Beef with Yukon Gold Potatoes.
Menopause – During the menopause, your hormones are out of whack which means that you need extra support from your diet. The meals in this section are scientifically balanced with a focus on lean protein and low carb to fully support hormone regulation. An example of meals include Fisherman’s Seafood Stew and Mozzarella, Roasted Tomato and Basil Frittata.
Vegetarian – We were slightly baffled by this section of the website as the meals have been inspired by popular plant-based meals as well as seafood and fish! We feel that this section should be renamed “Meat-Free” or “Pescatarian” as the “Vegetarian” label is grossly misleading. Genuine vegetarian meals in this section include Roasted Tofu and Ancient Grain Salad Bowl and Raspberry Chipotle Roasted Vegetable Bowl.
Another example of where the chefs at Silver Cuisine have not cut back on flavor is the Raspberry Chipotle Roasted Vegetable Bowl. Simply bursting with smoky, fruity flavors, this vegetarian meal combines hearty sweet potatoes, black beans, cauliflower and onions with zesty lime and cilantro.
