One of the best things about Adobe Premiere Elements out of the box is the fact that it is available for both Mac and Windows systems. While many competitors work exclusively on one or the other, Adobe offers a comprehensive solution. Getting started is quick, but it may depend on how quickly you can download large files. Once the initial download is completed, setting up is straightforward and painless with Adobe’s installation wizard.
It’s important to perform a background check on people in your neighborhood. This is especially true if you have children of your own. A background investigation can reveal any untoward information from a sex offender registry, and it’s a great way to perform a criminal background check. It’s extremely important to know whether there are sex offenders in your neighborhood, and it’s good to know whether your neighbor has been convicted of any criminal charges. On a personal level, background searches are indispensable. You may be applying for a new job, and you will want to know ahead of time what your potential employer will find when they conduct a background search of you. A self-check is a great tool for you to use so that you can prep yourself for any questions that arise at your job interview. Another reason background checks are so important is interpersonal relationships with blind dates, new friendships, and other love interests.
We were impressed with Premiere Elements’ design, and how intuitive its interface truly is. The main window features two sections: the editor itself, and the organizer. The organizer allows you to import, rate, tag, and share your media online. It also lists your completed projects and lets you view everything and decide how best to share it. The editor offers a standard three panel view, with a timeline on the bottom, a preview pane, and a media panel. The latter can be hidden from view to give you more space for editing or previewing your video project. To help you visualize projects better, Premiere Elements also includes a “project assets” panel that shows you all the image, audio, and video files that you have used in your project.
Basic Editing Features
Editing is quite natural with Adobe Premiere Elements. If you are in a hurry, you can simply click Quick mode and choose your raw files, and Elements will create an optimized version that is ready to finalize. If you prefer a more hands-on approach, you can use color and light correction, visual effects and transitions, as well as a useful “smart fix tool” that automatically corrects a wide variety of issues at once. If you need to cut down on sections, Premiere Elements offers a Smart Trim function that can cut out poor-quality snippets from your clips and automatically erase them. You can also stabilize videos, as well as run a great “dehazing” utility to make your colors really pop.
Through several versions of its software, Adobe has steadily tweaked and upgraded its audio editing capabilities. One of our favorite features in Premiere Elements is the Music Remix tool, which takes an MP3 file and adjusts it so that it fits in with your video seamlessly. If you are looking to correct the sound in your video projects, the movie editing software includes a standard array of normalization and equalizing utilities along with audio effects that give your sound better quality and depth.
Ease of Use
While it is built to work with designers and editors of all skill levels, Adobe Premiere Elements is a perfect tool for beginners to familiarize themselves with what can be a complex field. We found that Premiere Elements was streamlined to be simple. Editing can be done with drag and drop functionality which is great even for editors who are more hands on. In addition, the software will hold your hand if you choose the Quick option, doing much of the heavy lifting in terms of editing and tweaking your raw video files.
Overall, we found that Adobe Premiere Elements performed quite admirably under test conditions. Rendering can take some time during intensive projects, but you can always instantly view a lower-resolution version of your video if you need to quickly check for changes. We also found that Premiere Elements did not crash frequently, handling both 30 and 60 frames per second without any lag, meaning that it can create high resolution videos with little difficulty.
Sharing and Output
If you are creating videos to share online, you can easily choose from specific output types for platforms such as Facebook, Vimeo, and YouTube. Additionally, you can post your projects directly to media platforms from Premiere Elements. We were happy to see that Premiere Elements supports 4K Ultra HD resolution, and can create video files in a variety of popular formats.
Adobe Premiere Elements comes with all of the available features included. The company offers a bundle with Photoshop Elements, but you can purchase Premiere Elements itself for $99.99.
